The Ad Studio

What you get

You need a social ad today. You do not want to open a design app or wait on a designer.

The Ad Studio gives you a first draft.

It is two small tools.

The first one, poster-maker, designs an ad image from your description.

The second one, remotion-ad-video-skill, reads your website and writes ad ideas.

Then it makes a short vertical video.

Both run on your own computer.

Free for solo people and small teams. No keys. About 15 minutes.

One thing to know

The first video draft may need a fix pass. Without good screenshots you can get empty frames or placeholder labels.

Neither tool makes photos. They only use images you give them.

The video tool is early (version 0.1.0).

Remotion, the tool that renders the video, is free for individuals and small teams. A bigger company needs a company license.

Who this is for

You run a small business and you need a social ad now. This replaces waiting for a designer's first draft.

What you need

• Claude Code
• git (a tool that downloads code)
• Node 20 or newer (Node runs the projects)
• About 15 minutes for the poster part
• A few real screenshots of your product or site, for the video

Set it up

Step 1: Get the poster kit

Downloads poster-maker and moves into it.

Step 2: Install its parts

Installs the tools and the browser it uses to export images.

npm install
npx playwright install chromium

Step 3: Get the video kit

Download it in a separate folder.

git clone https://github.com/leosssvip-dot/remotion-ad-video-skill.git

Step 4: Let the video skill install itself

Open Claude Code in that folder. Ask it to follow the skill in skills/remotion-ad-video.

Its quick lab installs what it needs in about 40 seconds.

Use it

For the image: go to the poster-maker folder and open Claude Code. Run /new-poster with your offer. Then run /export-poster.

For the video: give Claude your website address. Ask for a 15 second ad.

You get files like these:

ad.mp4    15 second vertical video draft

If something goes wrong

Export fails. Run npx playwright install chromium again.

The video has empty boxes. Give it real screenshots, not just one wide image.

It rejects my hook line. Its checker allows 3 to 8 words. Shorten it.
